CONOC Corporation, which promotes DX in the construction industry, has entered into a capital and business partnership with JAPAN AI Corporation, which develops AI-related products and services. They have begun a business collaboration aimed at the joint development of AI agents for the construction industry. Despite being a core industry with a market size of 52 trillion yen, the DX adoption rate in Japan's construction industry is only 20.7%, and the AI utilization rate is a mere 9.4%. Many operations, such as estimating, invoicing, project management, and daily reports from the field, are still conducted using paper and analog methods, leading to long-standing issues of workload for field personnel and individual management. Through its collaboration with JAPAN AI, CONOC plans to launch 16 AI agents by the fiscal year 2026.
